We're seeking our next Head of Credit to transform the agro-financial landscape at Verqor! 🚀

At Verqor, we are building the future of financing for the agri-food sector, and we need a visionary leader to drive our credit strategy.

• Lead and Execute Strategy: You will be responsible for defining and executing our credit placement strategy, optimizing data-driven decisions based on geographical areas, climate, crop types, and diverse client profiles.
• Product Innovation: You will lead the creation and development of new credit products, analyzing emerging markets and fintech verticals to identify market opportunities.
• Funder Management: You will identify and attract new debt funders to diversify and strengthen our capital sources, negotiating and maintaining fluid and transparent communication with them, ensuring compliance with agreements and reporting results periodically.
• Portfolio and Risk Management: You will define the acceptable risk level for the organization, balancing company growth with prudent risk management and improving the approval rate. This includes overseeing the operation and management of structured debt trusts  and managing potential portfolio sales to optimize risk and liquidity.
• Team Leadership: You will foster a data-driven decision-making culture within the team and improve the effectiveness of collection strategies and processes , leading a high-performing credit and collections team.

• Professionals with 7+ years of experience in similar roles, preferably in the financial, fintech, or agricultural sector.

• Educational background in

  Actuarial Science, Finance, Data Science, Economics, or related fields (MBA or CFA desirable).

• Fluent English is an essential requirement.
